The Customer Operation Hub lets your agents complete day-to-day property management work inside a Zendesk ticket. It shows Storeganise data, such as unit availability, a customer's units and overdue invoices, so agents don't need to switch between systems.
This guide covers installing the app in Zendesk and filling in its settings.
Before you start
- Zendesk role: You need to be a Zendesk Admin.
- Storeganise role: You need a Storeganise user with the Manager role, to create an API key.
- App file: The .zip file provided by Unwired Logic. Don't unzip it. Zendesk needs the zip as it is.
Part 1: Install the app
Step 1: Open the apps page
- In Zendesk, open Admin Center.
- In the left sidebar, click Apps and integrations.
- Go to Apps > Zendesk Support apps.
Step 2: Upload the app
- Click Upload private app.
- In App name, enter Customer Operation Hub.
- Under App file, click Choose file and select the .zip file.
- Click Upload.
- In the pop-up, click Agree and upload this App.
Step 3: Start the installation
- When Zendesk asks, click Install.
- The settings screen opens. Fill it in using Part 2 below.
Part 2: Fill in the settings
Most of these values must match your Storeganise account exactly. If they don't, the prices agents see in the app won't match the real invoices. Keep Storeganise open in another tab while you fill in the form.
If you have more than one brand
The settings form is split into Brand 1, Brand 2, and so on. Each brand block connects one Zendesk brand to one Storeganise account.
- One brand: Fill in only the Brand 1 fields. Leave Brand 2 and any later brand fields empty.
- More than one brand: Fill in one block per brand. For example, Brand 1 for your first Zendesk brand and its Storeganise account, and Brand 2 for your second. Each block has the same fields, so follow the steps below for each one.
Title (required)
The name agents see in Zendesk. Keep Customer Operation Hub unless you want a different label.
Brand 1 · Zendesk brand subdomain (required)
The first part of your Zendesk web address, without ".zendesk.com".
Example: if your Zendesk is acme.zendesk.com, enter acme.
Brand 1 · Storeganise subdomain (required)
The first part of your Storeganise web address, without ".storeganise.com".
Example: if you log in at acme.storeganise.com, enter acme.
Brand 1 · Storeganise API key
Lets the app read your Storeganise data. Without it, the app can't show units or invoices.
To create one:
- Log in to Storeganise with a user that has the Manager role.
- Go to Settings > Developer.
- Create a new API key and copy it.
- Paste it into this field.
Keep the key private. Don't send it by email or chat. If someone else needs it, share it with a one-time secret link.
Brand 1 · Billing mode (required)
Must match how your Storeganise account creates invoices.
- In Storeganise, go to Settings > Invoicing > Invoice generation.
- Look at Invoice generation mode.
- Type the matching value exactly as shown below. Capital letters matter.
- If Storeganise shows Date of month, enter dateOfMonth.
- If Storeganise shows Anniversary, enter anniversary.
Brand 1 · Billing start day
Only appears when Billing mode is dateOfMonth.
The day of the month invoices start from. Enter a number from 1 to 31. Leave it blank to use 1.
- In Storeganise, go to Settings > Invoicing > Invoice generation.
- Look at Invoice period start date.
- Enter the same day here.
Example: if invoices run from the 1st of each month, enter 1.
Brand 1 · First full month from day
Controls the first invoice when a customer moves in partway through the month. Enter a number from 1 to 31. Leave it blank to use 1.
- In Storeganise, go to Settings > Invoicing > Invoice generation.
- Look at Move-ins: include first full month rent from.
- Enter the same day here.
Example: if this is set to 20:
- A customer who moves in on the 10th pays only for the rest of that month.
- A customer who moves in on the 25th pays for the rest of that month, plus the next full month.
Brand 1 · Include deposit in quotes
Tick this if you charge customers a deposit when they move in. Leave it unticked if you don't. It's off by default.
Part 3: Finish the installation
- (Optional) To limit who sees the app, turn on Enable role restrictions or Enable group restrictions, then choose the roles or groups.
- Click Install.
The app now appears under Installed on the Zendesk Support apps page
Part 4: Check it works
- Open any ticket.
- Click the Apps icon in the right sidebar.
- Confirm the Customer Operation Hub panel loads and shows Storeganise data.
Part 5: Change the settings later
If you need to update any settings after installing, setup:
- In Zendesk, open Admin Center.
- Go to Apps and integrations > Apps > Zendesk Support apps.
- Click the Installed tab.
- Click Customer Operation Hub. The settings page opens.
- Make your changes.
- Click Update.
Note: The API key field - When you come back to this page, the API key field may look empty. That’s normal. Zendesk hides saved keys for security. If you’ve already added a key, leave the field empty and your saved key stays in place. Only fill it in if you want to replace the key.
